About this course

Corporate investigations require more than knowledge of policies and procedures. Investigators must be able to assess allegations objectively, establish an appropriate scope, gather reliable evidence and conduct fair interviews.

They must also be able to analyse conflicting information, identify weaknesses in organisational controls and present clear, defensible findings to management.

This workshop gives participants an opportunity to practise these skills through a realistic, end-to-end investigation. Each stage builds on the previous one, allowing participants to experience how early decisions can affect the quality and outcome of an investigation.

Why choose this course

This two-day interactive workshop takes participants through a realistic corporate investigation. Working in teams, participants assess allegations, plan the investigation, review evidence, conduct witness and subject interviews, report their findings and recommend appropriate action.

Rather than relying primarily on presentations, the course uses a practical case simulation. Participants make investigation decisions, complete exercises and receive feedback from an experienced facilitator at each stage.

Practise a complete investigation: Work through a realistic case from the initial report to the final management briefing, remedial action and formal closure.

Develop practical interviewing experience: Prepare for and conduct witness and subject interviews in teams, followed by structured facilitator feedback.

Apply the learning in your organisation: Use practical templates, a detailed workbook and a reporting model that can inform future corporate investigations.
