The Annual CPD Package 2026 provides up to 20 hours of online CPD through a live online conference and a programme of on-demand webinars. The conference takes place via Zoom on 25 November 2026, with a recording available afterwards. The package covers General CPD, Professional Development and Solicitor Wellbeing, and Client Care and Professional Standards.
Under the Law Society of Ireland’s 2026 CPD requirements, a solicitor with the standard 25-hour annual requirement may complete a maximum of 20 hours, or 80%, through relevant eLearning. The remaining requirement must take account of the rule that at least 5 hours, or 20% of the annual CPD requirement, must be completed through group study.
No. For solicitors subject to the standard 25-hour requirement, this package can provide the maximum 20 hours permitted through eLearning, but it does not include the required 5 hours of group study. La Touche Training also offers a separate 25-hour package combining 20 eLearning hours with 5 hours of in-person group study.
No. The Law Society states that group study requires physical attendance at an organised CPD session involving three or more people. Watching a live feed of a conference, seminar or training session does not qualify as group study, although it may qualify as eLearning. La Touche Training therefore classifies its live Zoom conference within the 20-hour eLearning package.
The programme covers a broad range of subjects relevant to legal practice, including conveyancing, residential tenancies, commercial contracts, taxation, overseas transactions, assisted decision-making and anti-money laundering. It also includes professional topics such as ethics, legal technology, artificial intelligence, negotiation skills, psychological safety, unconscious bias, coaching and mentoring, and IT governance, risk and compliance.
Yes. The programme contains sessions relevant to Professional Development and Solicitor Wellbeing, including coaching and mentoring, negotiation skills, psychological safety, workplace performance, unconscious bias and the pressures associated with legal practice. Solicitors with the standard 2026 CPD requirement must complete at least 5 hours in the combined Professional Development and Solicitor Wellbeing category during the annual cycle.
Yes. The online programme includes content dealing with ethics and professional conduct, IT governance, risk and compliance, and anti-money laundering. Under the 2026 Law Society CPD framework, solicitors with the standard annual requirement must complete at least 3 hours of Client Care and Professional Standards. Particular additional requirements apply to sole practitioners and certain compliance partners.
Yes. An Anti-Money Laundering Update is included among the webinars being added to the package, alongside other risk and compliance content. For 2026, sole practitioners and solicitors who are compliance partners and/or anti-money laundering compliance partners must ensure that their required Client Care and Professional Standards hours include at least one hour of accounting and anti-money laundering compliance.
The programme includes several sessions addressing technology and AI in legal practice. Topics listed include Legal Technology, Technology, AI and the Delivery of Legal Services, Coaching and Mentoring in an Age of AI, and IT Governance, Risk and Compliance for Lawyers. These sessions address practical technology developments alongside professional, organisational and risk issues affecting legal services.
Yes. The online CPD conference takes place live via Zoom on 25 November 2026, and La Touche Training states that the full recording will subsequently be made available through its Learning Hub. The package also contains on-demand webinars, allowing participants to complete the remainder of their eligible eLearning at different times during the 2026 CPD cycle.
