About Professor William Binchy BL
Professor Binchy, Barrister at Law and a respected academic who served as Regius Professor of Laws at Trinity College Dublin from 1992 to 2012. He continues to lecture on the LLM programme at Trinity and is widely published, including as co-author of McMahon and Binchy’s Law of Torts.
Over his illustrious career, he has held prestigious roles, including Commissioner with the Irish Human Rights Commission, special legal adviser on family law reform, and representative for Ireland at international legal forums such as the Hague Conference and the United Nations.
